HOW SERVICE PAYS OFF
Incredible figures about our main theme:
The 2016 Hannover Messe was once again the perfect stage for Lapp to present its new products to the public. The focus this year was on solutions for extreme conditions and tight spaces.Cables often show the best of their capabilities in extraordinary conditions, such as those in power stations, furnaces or running motors. In places like these, they need to withstand heat and mechanical stress. Lapp presented special connection solutions for these situations and more at this year's Hannover Messe.ÖLFLEX® HEAT 650 SC is a new single core for extreme temperatures, and was developed for use in power stations and furnaces, as well as for heating modules and cooking systems. Lapp now has a cable in its product range that can withstand a continuous temperature of up to 650 degrees Celsius, compared to the previous 400 degrees. This is thanks to a stranded wire made from nickel and insulation made from glass silk. The new ÖLFLEX® HEAT 125 MC/C MC is designed for public and industrial buildings that house large numbers of people. The sheath, made from electron beam cross-linked plastic, ensures improved fire behaviour. Classification company Germanische Lloyd has also confirmed its suitability for use in shipbuilding. One new product made for America is the ÖLFLEX® HEAT 180 SiF A. This flexible silicon cable, available in a range of colours, can be used at up to 180 degrees Celsius (up to 150 degrees in the USA) and is also halogen free. It is also certified in line with American UL standards.Another new addition to the product range is the SKINDICHT® MINI FKM, a small cable gland that is excellent at withstanding high temperatures. It is designed for continuous operation at temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius.
